How to compare factoring offers
- Recourse vs. non-recourse: with recourse, you repay the advance if the broker doesn't pay. Ask what non-recourse actually covers (usually broker insolvency only).
- Contract length: intro rates often come with a minimum term. Porter's 1.5% intro, for example, is published alongside a 1-year contract.
- Advance and reserve: a 95% advance means 5% is held until the broker pays.
- Extra fees: ask in writing about ACH or wire fees, minimum monthly volume, termination fees and fuel-card requirements.
- Rates on third-party sites conflict. We only use each company's own published figure, so check the source link before you sign.
